Australia has no shortage of incredible young people working in agriculture. What it has lacked is a television series that captures the excitement, humour, hard work and freedom that come with building a life on the land. Living the Dream aims to change that.

That's the idea behind Living the Dream, a brand-new Station Original currently in development.

Hosted by Tylen Wallace, the series takes viewers behind the scenes of life on the land, showcasing the adventure, opportunities and unforgettable experiences that come with a career in Australian agriculture.

With more than 200,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, Tylen has built a loyal audience by simply being himself. Whether he's mustering cattle, hunting, travelling to remote stations or sharing the highs and challenges of life in the bush, his authentic personality has resonated with young Australians looking for something real.

Living the Dream will capture that same energy.

Each episode will follow Tylen as he visits farms, stations, agricultural businesses and regional communities across Australia, meeting the people who make the industry what it is. Along the way, viewers will experience everything from helicopters and horses to machinery, livestock, innovation and the incredible characters who call rural Australia home.

But this series is about more than adventure.

Australian agriculture faces a growing challenge in attracting the next generation into the industry. Living the Dream aims to change perceptions by showing what's possible. From station managers and apprentices to agronomists, mechanics, pilots, livestock agents and entrepreneurs, the series will highlight the diverse careers that exist beyond the farm gate.

We want young people to finish every episode thinking:

"I didn't know you could do that for a job."

For too long, agriculture has struggled with outdated stereotypes. The reality couldn't be more different. Today's industry combines cutting-edge technology, helicopters, drones, genetics, sustainability, entrepreneurship, global exports and careers that can take you almost anywhere in the world. Living the Dream will show that reality through the eyes of someone who genuinely lives and loves it.
